(347) 788-0125
Brandon is the very hands-on President/Executive Creative Director of Design-O-Matic and holds both a BFA and MFA in Graphic Design. He began his professional career at a small design firm in Memphis, eventually moving on to a full-service advertising agency, where he was integral in founding a Web Design department. After moving to New York, Brandon became Senior Art Director at the infamous Dennis Interactive, where he stayed until 2001 when the Internet Bubble burst—and Design-O-Matic (which was established in 1996 for freelance expression) was reborn as a full-time consulting shop.
He has been designing and coding Web sites since 1995 and has instructed/lectured at the Pratt Institute, Parsons, University of Memphis and SUNY Purchase School of Design. In the past several years as ECD of Design-O-Matic, he has been splitting his time almost equally between interactive and video-based projects such as motion graphics, editing and on-site event production. Every project that passes through the company gets his Principal-level involvement from start to finish.
Brandon enjoys the flexibility of working with Interactive, Video and Traditional Media. He has done branding for clients such as
3M,
Def Jam and
DeWalt; print design for
International Paper,
Circus Circus Casinos and the
PGA; interactive projects for
IBM,
Disney,
Motown,
Discovery and
HBO; and video/motion design for
MTV,
Bravo,
TLC,
Rolling Stone,
Motorola and
Audi. Other recent clients include
AMC,
Samsung,
Fuji,
Dassault Falcon,
Hearst,
KPMG,
Vogue and
Cosmo. His work has received honors from the
One Show,
New York New Media Awards, the
Memphis Advertising Federation and the
International Web Awards.
Brandon has badly impersonated Elvis in two City of Memphis Christmas Parades, shot a photo series in Louisiana's Angola prison, and DJ'ed both live and as a resident at several radio stations. Although he refuses to positively confirm, he may or may not have been at least partially responsible for the closing of a regional chain of Benettons.
